Ten Students Complete 12 Weeks of Training

Students on a 12 weeks practical in Parliament House have been challenged to equip their knowledge with positive attitude.
This is the message from acting secretary for parliament Danny Puli.
Mr Puli told 10 students from a Port Moresby based private institution who have just completed their job training to use valuable knowledge and be self reliant as well.
“Knowledge without attitude is a misguided missile. It is destructive.” Mr Puli said.
He said a lot of educated people have bad or destructive attitude but he warned the young people to change.
Director for Asia Pacific Institute of Applied Social, Economic and Technical Studies Thomas Pillar said the institutions’ school agenda plays a bigger role to help bridge the 80 per cent gap of grade 12 drop outs yearly.
The institution’s theme is “no dreams shall be shattered” and that theme is the reason why the institution has accepted students that have dropped out of the education system and given them a second chance at education.
The students are from the institution’s diploma program in the school of business.
The students received their job training certificates and were farewelled by parliamentary services staff at a luncheon yesterday.
